Your Mission
As a Senior Associate, AFC Compliance Advisory & Oversight at Bitpanda, you will support the continued growth of Bitpanda's institutional and enterprise business. Working at the intersection of law, regulation, product innovation and commercial strategy, you will advise on complex legal and regulatory matters relating to B2B, B2B2B and B2B2C partnerships across multiple jurisdictions.
You will partner with Business Development, Compliance, Product, Risk and senior stakeholders to structure new partnerships, assess legal and regulatory risks, support enterprise due diligence processes, negotiate commercial agreements and help bring innovative products to market.
What you'll do
- Act as an AFC advisor to Bitpanda Enterprise, providing practical legal and regulatory advice across strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, fintechs and enterprise clients.
- Represent Bitpanda in legal and regulatory discussions with prospective and existing partners, supporting enterprise due diligence processes and regulatory queries.
- Support the review, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, including partnership, technology, API, outsourcing, licensing and confidentiality arrangements.
- Support the development and launch of new products and services by assessing legal and regulatory implications and working with Product, Compliance, Risk and Engineering teams.
- Monitor and interpret developments in financial services and digital asset regulation, translating legal requirements into practical guidance and governance frameworks.
Who you are
- Educational Background: A university degree in Law is highly desirable. Alternatively, relevant professional experience reviewing, drafting and providing legal feedback on commercial agreements and other legal documentation within a regulated environment is required.
- Professional Experience: Experience supporting regulated financial services, fintech, banking, payments, digital assets or other regulated industries in a compliance, legal, regulatory or commercial advisory capacity.
- Commercial Mindset: Ability to balance legal and regulatory considerations with business objectives and communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German. Professional proficiency in German is required.
